Ay-O: Hong Hong Hong at M+
Somewhere over the rainbow and a bit further. Associated with numerous art movements and groups (Demokrato, Fluxus and naive art included), Ay-O is an avant-garde artist with his own multilayered vision and philosophy. Once he was dubbed the “rainbow artist,” Ay-O played with the concept and meaning of spectrum colours, transitioning from literal to abstract interpretations, adding depth, playfulness and complexity to cheerful rainbows.
