Sep 10 Anselm Kiefer: Golden Age at Villepin

Visual essay on the theme of mythological utopia of the Golden age, consisting of the works created between 2020 and 2022. As always with Anselm Keifer, all paintings are multilayered both physically and figuratively, conveying the multitude of references, ideas, quotes and emotions. The contrast between glistening gold and heavy lead, smooth surfaces and rough buildup of textures is a signature Keifer style but it still is tremendously impressive in real life.
