Witty questioning the necessity of painting being a flat surface—while technically these works are canvas on stretcher they most definitely have sculptural qualities or almost architectural plasticity.
I remember seeing Nancy’s works for the first time at Fringe club some time ago and thinking immediately about nautical signal flags; always wanted to ask if there’s any influence from that side.

The exhibition is a part of the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association’s Summer Programme.
