Frank Tang Kai Yiu: You Are Here at Gallery Exit. Caroline Chiu: Coo Cups ♡ Hong Kong.
A mapping of real and imaginary experiences and stories in real and imaginary locations. Plenty of visual references to compositions of works from Northern Song and Qing Dynasties that I am not capable of grasping by myself. But I am more than capable of immediately recognizing a lot of familiar places and fragments of a city. The paintings are paired with a love letter to Hong Kong in a seemingly humble form of Coo cups by Caroline Chiu.
